ZHOB: Member Provincial Assembly Mitha Khan Kakar and Deputy Commissioner Taha Saleem decorated over thirty officers of Levies Force by pinning badges on their shoulders with their promotion to the next rank in an investiture ‘Awarding Promotion Badges’ ceremony held at Levies station here. The administration has promoted thirty six officers from ‘Hawaldar’ to ‘Dafadar’ rank.

Chief guest of the event was CM Adviser Mitha Khan Kakar, while Deputy Commissioner Taha Saleem presided over the function. Assistant Commissioner Athar Abbas, Tehsildar Ahad Sherani, Tehsildar Mehtab Shah Ustrana, SDPO Ghafoor Khan Mandokhail, DSP Shabir Rind, Risaldar Major Sheikh Adam Mandokhail, Naib Tehsildar Sadiq Hariphal, Risaldar Salah-ud-Din Mardanzai, Sub Inspector Gulab Kakar, Sub Inspector Abdul Ghafoor, Faiz Kakar, Khair Muhammad Mandokhail, Dr. Naseebullah Kakar and journalists attended the function. MPA, DC and other officials placed new rank badges over the shoulders of promoted officers.

Addressing on the occasion MPA Mitha Khan Kakar congratulated the newly-promoted officers and acknowledged the contribution and sacrifices of Levies Force. He stressed upon them to ensure discharge of their duties with full devotion and dedication and serving to the best of their capabilities and maintaining law and order in their jurisdiction ‘B’ areas of the district.

“Hard work, integrity and sincerity should be the hallmark of every officer in the force,” he directed.

Deputy Commissioner Taha Saleem, Assistant Commissioner Athar Abbas and Risaldar Major Sheikh Adam Mandokhail also warmly congratulated the officers on their promotion.
“The newly-promoted officers have proved their mettle and established an example of better performance during their posting, the district administration expressing best wishing for their more success in future”, they added.

In Balochistan administratively the Levies Force covers rural ‘B’ areas that make 90 percent of the total land, while urban ‘A’ areas fall under the jurisdiction of police. Balochistan Levies Force came into being in the late 19th century during the British era.
