ISLAMABAD:     Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that political side of National Action Plan (NAP) was not encouraging and PTI government will ensure implementation of NAP.

“With regret, situation on political side of NAP was not encouraging. The former government lacked that commitment. But PTI government will ensure implementation of NAP, he said this while addressing a ceremony here Wednesday.

“We have extended invitation to political leadership of the country for consultations. National consensus is the need of hour for which political leaders have been invited for consultations. PML-N and PPP leadership was contacted by telephone. The attitude of political leadership was not negative but hesitation was found therein, he remarked.

He held human rights are being trampled in Indian held Kashmir. The world is silent over it despite knowing all. When clouds of aggression were hovering we raised Kashmir issue at diplomatic level. I made consultations with 6 former foreign secretaries on this matter, he added.

He said that Pakistani leadership will have to remain alert keeping in view mental condition of Indian Prime Minister Modi. India is exerting all efforts to get include Pakistan in grey list economically, he added.

“ I represented my party for bringing FATA into national mainstream. Now FATA has been integrated into national mainstream, he underlined.

In Gilgit-Baltistan a movement is being fomented by some forces and we are not oblivious to it, he underscored.
He maintained Pakistan army rendered sacrifice of their lives in Radd-ul-Fasaad and Zarb Azb and eliminated terrorism. Now peace prevails in the areas affected by terrorism and matches are being played therein, he added.
