Islamabad: Vice Chancellor Quaid e Azam University Prof Dr Muhammad Ali Shah has decided to convert the Jamia into smart campus.
According to media reports he said 1100 security cameras will be installed in order to cope with security threats .
Free facility of Wi-Fi will also be provided to students 24/7.
He said the project of smart university will be started in June and this will be completed within two to three months.
Security cameras will be installed at all entry and exit gates of university, main gate, all important buildings, hostels, cafeterias and blocks.
A control room will also be established in this regard to monitor all parts of the university.
