LAHORE: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been shifted to the Sharif Medical City for treatment on Thursday after getting a six-week bail on medical grounds by the Supreme Court.
Dr Adnan, Nawaz Sharif’s doctor, said it will be determined whether the treatment is possible or not in six weeks after the check-up of the former premier.
Nawaz’s medical tests of heart, kidneys, blood pressure and blood sugar levels will be conducted and the results will come in the evening. The reports will also be discussed with Dr Lawrence in London and further decisions regarding the treatment will be taken.
It has been reported that Nawaz Sharif’s kidney disease is at stage three. “The blood tests reveal a further raise in his creatinine levels which means Nawaz Shairf’s kidney function has deteriorated. His kidney disease is already at stage 3. The pain in the flanks persists,” Maryam Nawaz had stated earlier.
It is worth mentioning here that the Supreme Court had on Tuesday granted bail to former premier Nawaz Sharif for six weeks against a surety bond of Rs5 million in a petition filed on medical grounds in Al-Azizia corruption reference; however, with a restriction that he cannot leave the country.
