Islamabad: The 25th T20 match in the fourth edition of thePakistan Super League (PSL) will be played between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi at 4:30 pm at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
Both teams had earlier clashed on Feb 17 at Dubai where Peshawar Zalmi defeated Lahore Qalandars by seven wickets.
Peshawar Zalmi are expected to emerge victorious again as Lahore Qalandars are not performing well lately and will be without the services of master blaster AB De Villiers, who is out of the tournament due to injury.
Despite loss to Quetta Gladiators last night, Zalmi are placed on the second spot with 10 points.
Qalandars have so far won three matches and lost four from seven matches whereas Peshawar Zalmi won five and lost three from their eight matches.
The highest total by Lahore Qalandars is 204/4 (vs Multan Sultans at Sharjah on Feb 22), while Peshawar Zalmi’s highest is 177/6 (vs Islamabad United at Dubai on March 1).
De Villiers made the most runs for Lahore Qalandars – 218 (ave 54.50) in seven matches with one fifty, while Imam-ul-Haq scored the most runs for Zalmi – 194 runs (ave 27.71) in seven matches with two fifties.
Pacer Hasan Ali of Peshawar Zalmi has claimed the most wickets not only for his team but also in the tournament. He bagged 18 wickets at an average of 10.83 in eight matches with taking four wickets in an innings three times – also a record in the PSL4.
Young Haris Rauf captured the most wickets for Lahore Qalandars – 11 at an average of 15.45 in seven matches with one four wickets in an innings.
Nepalese spinner S. Lamichhane achieved the best bowling figures in the tournament – 4/10 (vs Quetta Gladiators at Dubai on Feb 27).
Hasan Ali of Peshawar achieved the feat of taking four wickets in an innings on three occasions – the most for any bowler in the tournament while three bowlers bagged the four-wicket haul for Lahore Qalandars.
