ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has achieved all targets set for federation under Financial Action Task Force (FATF) but some targets set for the provinces have not been met .
Government has hammered out functional strategy for FATF which will be put up in the meeting commencing from Sunday, February 17 in Paris.

A high level delegation led by finance secretary Arif Ahmad Khan will leave for Paris today in connection with talks with FATF. The delegation comprises of FIA, NACTA , FBR and other respective institutions officials. However no representative from the provinces has been taken in the delegation.;

During the meeting Pakistani team will give briefing on the steps taken for elimination of money laundering.

The issuance of new prize bonds valuing Rs 40000 has been suspended from February 15 across the country in the first phase and in the second phase prize bonds worth Rs 25000 and Rs 40000 will be abolished and taken back from the customers . Registered certificates and bonds will be issued in place of these prize bonds.
