MUZAFFARABAD:(Parliament Times) The team of AJK Planning and Development department, led by senior Chief Planning Raja Manzoor Hussain visited New Industrial Area Mirpur.
It also reviewed the progress of Quality Control and Weights and Measures Lab Mirpur during its site visit. The officers of Lab gave a detailed briefing to the visiting team which was also attended by director Industry and Trade Zafar Iqbal Kanth, deputy director Raja Arslan Pervaiz, Asstt. Director headquarters Sardar Sarfraz Khan, senior POL Industries Ch. M. Tareef, Sr. Scientific Officer quality control Rashid Rafique.
The Sr. Scientific Officer giving briefing to the team told the aims and objectives of Quality Control Weights and Measures Lab Mirpur. He also told the importance, targets and progress of the Lab. The team was told that so far the base line survey of district Bhimber, Haveli and Bagh had been completed while the survey work is afoot in Kotli and Jhelum Valley. The expenses and difficulties during the survey were also explained. Director Industry and Trade informing the monitoring team on efficiency and performance of the institute told that the Lab would be able to extend services to other departments like local government, health and food. It would help better quality and quantity of daily use commodities.
