MIRPUR : (Parliament Times) The deputy commissioner Mirpur Sardar Adnan Khurshid said that owing to formation of human chain on Kashmir Solidarity Day Mangla Bridge would be closed to all kind of traffic from 9-30 to 10-30 a.m.

The DC has asked the public passengers and others to pass the bridge before 9-30. He asked the transporters to amend their schedule of vehicles to and fro Pakistan in view of Kashmir solidarity functions.

Meanwhile on the special directives of DC, Revenue Officer Mirpur Raja Ayaz Ahmed Khan along with municipal corporation and police officials carried out grand operation against illegal encroachers on Kotli road near Rathua Hariyam Bridge, removing all the encroachments there. Khan made it clear to all that no one would be allowed to use any piece of land other than the one allotted to them.

Khan said that all the illegal encroachments found in the city would be razed and goods confiscated. Encroachers would be responsible for any damage of their goods during operation clean up, he explained. He said AJK Supreme Court had also issued strict directions in this connection.
