Islamabad: A huge fraud was discovered in the National Savings Rawalpindi branch as branch manager has allegedly withdrawn Rs 10.78 million from the account of an elder citizen through cheating. The inner sources stated that an elder citizen Muhammad Ashraf made investment in national savings Pindi branch of Rs 10. 780 million and he monthly received profit income on this amount and run his affairs.
Sources stated that branch manager Saddia had prepared an ugly plan of depriving the elder person Muhammad Ashraf from his hard-earned savings. They prepared plan when assured the Muhammad Ashraf was ill and wouldn’t lost long. Saddiq took her junior office Samina Nazneen into confidence on this whole matter. They opened another account on the name person Muhammad Ashraf.However, after opened the account National Savings branch officials called genuine account holder Muhammad Ashraf to branch and asked the his current scheme profit was 6% and they have another scheme which profit was 17%. They asked Muhammad Ashraf to avail this scheme.
For this purpose National Savings Pindi branch prepared fake documents. However, they allegedly transferred the whole amount into the account of fake account holder. Later they had withdrawn the whole amount. .
After this genuine account holder Muhammad Ashraf knocked the door of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and given application against branch manager. FIA officials have efficiently investigated this matter and revealed the whole truth. They arrested some officials of Savings staff. However, branch manager and his junior staff god bail from court.
Assistant Director headquarter Savings Shahid Arshad we conducted the inquiry as knew the matter. However, he stated that fraud occurred through the connivance of Qasir Saleem, LDC Noman and junior office. They also suspended from respective position soon after investigation. Sources stated that later Headquarter had given a clean chit branch manager Saddia which was supervising.
On the other hand affected person Muhammad Ashraf has viewed that branch manager Saddia had done all matters with them and added that given clean chit to branch manager Saddia is alarming. “Online also contacted to Saddia and junior office Samina Nazneen in this respect but they did not attended the phone.
