Muzaffarabad: Kashmiri around the globe observed Black Day on Indian Republic Day and protest rallies were held in different areas of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Protest procession followed by a rally was held under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat in the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir here on Saturday.
People were holding banners and placards besides black flags and chanted anti India and pro freedom slogans.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Pasban e Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali said that India is trying to sabotage the basic rights of Kashmiri people, “India is not democratic but a tyrant country, atrocities on the people of Jammu and Kashmir is question mark on Indian Democracy” he said.
He said that masses in Jammu and Kashmir are suffering from Indian atrocities, similarly, children and women are not safe from Indian occupied forces.
“I am astonish that Hurriyat leadership is in prisons who raise voice for freedom peacefully and still India celebrate republic day” he reiterated.
He said that Kashmiri around the globe by observing 26th January as ‘Black day’ have given the message to so called Indian leadership that Jammu and Kashmir is not a part of India.
Speaking on the occasion Abdul Aziz Alvi said that India demonstrates as democratic country where minorities are deprived of their basic human rights and their rights are violated every single day.
He said, “People in Jammu and Kashmir are either killed or imprisoned under draconian laws and people here in AJK strongly condemns Indian brutalities in Jammu and Kashmir.”
Mushtaq ul Islam on the event said that India is violating human rights in Jammu and Kashmir and pretend as democratic country.
Muhammad Asif Makhdoomi Commander Hizb ul Mujahideen said that youngsters in Kashmir are compelled to raise voice for their freedom and India did not fulfill her promises since long.
While addressing the occasion, Shazia Kayani Advocate, senior leader of the Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said that today India is celebrating its republic day but we observe it as Black Day, “this is a message to Government of India and political parties that on the basis of power, people of Jammu Kashmir cannot be deprived from freedom” Shazia added.
Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Ameer Jammat ud Dawa ABDUL Aziz Alvi, Vice Chairman International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Mushtaq ul Islam, Commander Hizb ul Mujahideen Muhammad Asif, Aqil Shams, Maulana, Fazal ur Rehman, Shazia Kiani, Usman Ali Hashim, ABU Siaf, Muhammad Nishad Butt, Chaudhary Nazir Usmani, Ali Abdullah and others also addressed on the occasion.
