NEELUM: (Parliament Times) To observe solidarity day with people of Jammu and Kashmir in a befitting manner on Feb 5, a meeting was held in deputy commissioner office at Athmuqam on Saturday.
The meeting decided that human chain would be made on highway Athmuqam on Feb 5. It urged the government employees to display banners and placards at different points depicting solidarity with people of Kashmir and asked Ulema in their sermons to throw light on the importance of solidarity with the struggling people of J&K. Functions would be held in educational institutions where speech contests would be held between the students regarding expressing solidarity with people of Kashmiri who are facing worst atrocities and human rights abuses at the hands of Indian forces in IHK, the meeting added.
The central function would be held in deputy commissioner office which would be attended by employees of various institutions and students of different educational institutions.
Later a rally will be held which would march through bazar while a human chain would also be formed in the mazar. The meeting said that those public and private institutions which would not take part in the solidarity function, rally and human chains would be dealt with sternly.
