Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) In continuation to its execution of zero-tolerance against narcotics, Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 998 Kgs narcotics valuing Rs 1.13 Billion internationally, arrested 60 persons involved in drug smuggling and impounded 20 vehicles conducting 51 counter-narcotics strikes throughout the country. The seized drugs comprised of 816.548 Kg Hashish, 139.88 Kg Opium, 15.953 Kg Heroin, 10.265 Kg Methamphetamine, 7.7 Kg Amphetamine, 2.31 Kg Cocaine, 13700x Xanax Tabs and 5700x Ecstasy Tabs.
In an intelligence based operation, ANF Quetta intercepted a Suzuki Alto Car Airport Road near Chaman Housing Scheme, Quetta and recovered 63 Kg Hashish from the vehicle. A person onboard namely Ghulam Asghar resident of Naseer Abad have also been arrested during the operation. In another intelligence based operation, ANF Quetta carried out at General area of Killi Rehman, Tehsil Chaman, District Qilla Abdullah and seized 15 Kg Hashish. In third operation, ANF Quetta seized 235 Kg Hashish from mountainous area of Tlar, Tehsil Dasht, District Turbat. In fourth operation, ANF Quetta recovered 40 Kg Hashish form mountainous area of Kalmath, Tehsil and District Gawadar. As per initial information, the drugs were intended to be handed over to another narcotics gang. In fifth operation, ANF Quetta arrested an accused identified as Lal Muhammad resident of Qilla A bdullah from Spindi Road, near Kakar Town, Tehsil and District Qilla Abdullah and recovered 8 Kg Hashish from his personal possession.
ANF Rawalpindi arrested Nazeer Muhammad resident of Lower Dir from Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.553 Kg Heroin from trolley bag of the arrested accused. The accused intended to fly for Doha (Qatar) by Flight No. QR-615. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a UK bound parcel from a courier service office located at Gulzar-e-Quaid, Rawalpindi and recovered 500 gram Heroin which was concealed in 2x sceneries. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Irfan Khan resident of Hangu at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1 Kg Heroin and 1.2 Kg Hashish, which was concealed in Harmonium kept in his travelling bag. The accused intended to fly for Doha by Flight No. QR-633. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused identified as Ameer Muhammad resident of Peshawar at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 730 grams Hashish from his trolley bag. The accused was intended to fly for Doha by Flight No. QR-615. In fifth operation ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Hi Speed 70 Motorcycle near Suzuki Stop, Sanam Chowk, Lehtarar Road, Islamabad and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the two accused identified as Abdullah and Naseeb Ullah both residents of Mardan. In sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Nawab Jan resident of Kurram Agency at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 3.240 Kg Hashish which was concealed harmonium kept in his travelling bag. He was travelling to Doha by Flight No. QR-615. In Seventh operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted 2x Honda Civic Cars at GT Road, near Railway Crossing Tarnol, Islamabad and recovered 68.4 Kg Opium and 66 Kg Hashish concealed in seats and trunk of the said vehicles. Resultantly three accused namely Shad Muhammad, Johar Ali and Abid Ali all residents of Peshawar were arrested during the operation. In Eighth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused identified as Mazhar Ul Haq resident of Mansehra near Boys High School, Gilgit and recovered 4 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. In ninth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Mehdin Shah resident of Shangla at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 924 grams Amphetamine from his travelling bag. He was boarding for KSA by Flight No. PA-270. In tenth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted an unattended Mercedes Car, parked at Rest House Hakai, Motorway, Islamabad and recovered 4 Kg Opium and 5 Kg Hashish, which was concealed in secret cavities of the said car. In eleventh operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Shoaib Rehman resident of Kurrum Agency at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.168 Kg Hashish concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for Doha by Flight No. QR-615. In twelfth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Aziz Khan resident of Bannu and recovered 13700x Xanax Tabs (weighing 3.2 Kg) from his personal possession. He was travelling to KSA by Flight No. PK-714. In thirteenth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Hadi Ur Rahman resident of Kohistan from City Hospital Kashrot, Gilgit and recovered 3.5 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. In fourteenth operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 1 Kg Hashish and 41 gram Amphetamine from personal possession of the accused identified as Zain ul Abideen resident of Swabi. He was arrested near street no. 9, G-11/3, Islamabad. In fifteenth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Adnan Khan resident of Swabi at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.880 Kg Amphetamine concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for KSA by Flight No. EK-615. In sixteenth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Fazal Haq resident of Mardan at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.404 Kg Amphetamine concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for KSA by Flight No. EK-615. In seventeenth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Kenyan Lady namely Diana Mawia Kameta at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.838 Kg Cocaine which was concealed in her travelling bag. She was arrived from Dubai through Flight No. EK-614. In eighteenth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Gul Zahid Shah resident of Swabi at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.6 Kg Amphetamine which was concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for Muscat through Flight No. WY-346. In nineteenth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested a Nigerian National namely Richman Cletus at Islamabad International Airport on suspicion of narco filled capsules in his stomach, he admitted in Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Rawalpindi, where he delivered 45x Cocaine filled capsules containing 324 gram Cocaine. In twentieth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Arif Shah resident of Hangu at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 866 Gram Amphetamine from his suitcase. He was boarding for Muscat through Flight No. WY-345.
ANF Lahore intercepted a Suzuki Cultus Car near Motorway-M4 Toll Plaza, Gojra and recovered 30 Kg Opium & 9.6 Kg Hashish from secret cavities of the car. Two person onboard identified as Tabish Safeer resident of Poonch & Muhammad Saleem resident of Gujranwala were arrested during the operation. In another operation, ANF Lahore in collaboration with Pakistan Rangers, Punjab arrested Khuram Shahzad Masih & Shafique Masih both residents of Lahore and recovered 2.6 Kg Heroin from their personal possession. Both accused was arrested near Wahga Boarder, Lahore. In third operation, ANF Lahore arrested Muhammad Riaz resident of Sargodha at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 960 gram Methamphetamine, which was concealed in his trolley bag. The accused was travelling to Riyadh (KSA) by Flight No. SV-739. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore arrested Muhammad Munawar resident of Sargodha at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 973 gram Methamphetamine, which was concealed in his trolley bag. The accused was travelling to Jeddah by Flight No. PK-759. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Motorcycle near Niazi Rehman Marwat Khel Hotel, MM Road, Mianwali and recovered 1.5 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the two accused identified as Humair Khan and Arshad Khan both residents of Mianwali. In sixth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 3 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Shehryar Siddique resident of Peshawar. He was arrested near Babu Sabu Interchange, Shera Kot Bus Stop, Band Road, Lahore. In seventh operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Honda United Motorccle near Orange Train Station, near Multan Road, Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore and recovered 1 Kg Heroin and 2 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Muhammad Zuhaib resident of Sheikhupura. In Eighth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Honda Civic Car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Lahore and recovered 5 Kg Hashish, which was concealed in secret cavities of the car. Resultantly an accused identified as Arslan Waris Resident of Gujranwala was arrested during the operation. In ninth operation, ANF Lahore arrested Bakht Zamin resident of Swabi at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 1.590 Kg Methamphetamine from his trolley bag. He was boarding for Jeddah by Flight No. G9821. In tenth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Kabirwala Toll Plaza, Jhang Multan Road, Khanewal and recovered 9 Kg Heroin from secret cavities of the car. Resultantly two accused identified as Mubashar Shams and Muhammad Zeeshan both residents of Jhang were arrested during the operation. In eleventh operation, ANF Lahore arrested Qazi Mian Jamshed Iqbal resident of Attock at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 915 gram Methamphetamine concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for Jeddah by Flight No. SV-3801. In twelfth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Nissan Car near Shaheen Chowk, Gujrat and recovered 300 gram Heroin and 1.8 Kg Hashish which was concealed in secret cavities of the car. Resultantly an accused identified as Muhammad Afzal resident of Gujrat was arrested during the operation. In thirteenth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Suzuki Mehran Car near Railway Wireless Colony, Copper Store Chowk, GT Road, Lahore and recovered 3 Kg Hashish which was concealed in the beneath of the driver seat of the said car. Resultantly an accused identified as Muhammad Qasim resident of Lahore was arrested during the operation.
In an intelligence based operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado near Chamkani Bridge, DT Road, Peshawar and recovered 96 Kg Hashish & 35.4 Kg Opium from rear area of the vehicle. Two persons onboard namely Sajjad Ahmed resident of Lakki Marwat & Kamran resident of Bannu were also arrested. In another operation, ANF Peshawar apprehended Yousaf Ali & Ramzania Bibi residents of Mardan and Nargis resident of Sawabi at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 2.250 Kg Methamphetamine, which was concealed in 2x trolley bags. They all were travelling to Jeddah (KSA) by Flight No. PA-670. In third operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Sher Abbas Khan at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 1.977 Kg Methamphetamine concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for Jeddah by Flight No. ER-551. In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Motorcycle near TCS office Raheem Abad and recovered 148 grams Cocaine which was concealed in Thermostat from Suleman Siddique resident of Swat. In follow up of the case another Nigerian National accused was also arrested near Bilal Daewoo, Peshawar. In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Shazia Bibi resident of Hangu at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 1.080 Kg Hashish concealed in her bag. She was boarding for Doha by Flight No. QR-601. In Sixth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Imran Khan resident of Peshawar at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 985 grams Amphetamine which was concealed in 2x boxes of Sohan Halwa. He was travelling to Riyadh by Flight No. PA-674. In seventh operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted 2x Mazda Trucks and 1x Suzuki Mehran Car near Chamkani, Peshawar and recovered 234 Kg Hashish concealed in sacks of Jute. Resultantly two accused identified as Shams resident of Peshawar and Jhangir resident of Mardan were arrested during the operation. In eighth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Suzuki Mehran Car near Yousafzai Market, Hayatabad, Peshawar and recovered 4800x Ecstasy Tabs (weighing 1.820 Kg) from personal possession of the Two accused identified as Safi Ullah resident of Khyber Agency and Khan wali resident of Peshawar. In ninth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Prius Car near Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar and recovered 900x Ecstasy Tabs (weighing 435 gram) from personal possession of the two accused identified as Arshad Ullah and Muhammad Anwar both residents of Khyber Agency. In tenth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Honda City Car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar and recovered 650 gram Opium and 3.6 Kg Hashish which was concealed in front door of the said vehicle. Resultantly an accused identified as Muhammad Nasir was arrested during the operation.
In an intelligence based operation, ANF Karachi arrested Ali and Sardar Ali both residents of Nasirabad and recovered 6.5 Kg Hashish from their personal possession. They were arrested near Disco Bakers, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. In another operation, ANF Karachi arrested Muhammad Zaman resident of Sawabi at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 1.6 Kg Methamphetamine from his trolley bag. He was boarding for Riyadh by Flight No. GF-0751. In third operation, ANF Karachi arrested Abdullah Baloch resident of Kaich Makran from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 1.430 Kg Opium and 230 gram Hashish, which was concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for Doha by Flight No. QR-611.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
