Islamabad: Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) while allowing Shaheen Airlines to start its post Haj-flight operation for bringing back pilgrims from Saudi Arabia has extended the license of this airlines.
According to media reports, spokesperson of CAA said that regular public transport license of Shaheen Airlines had expired on August 30 and now inquiry is being carried out due to non-payment of arrears of Rs 1.400 billion.
It is vital to mention here that approximately 350 pilgrims were stranded at Madina Airport due to CAA denial from renewal of Shaheen Airlines Public Transport license.
CAA had said that Shaheen Airlines should arrange alternative airlines flights to bring back pilgrims.
