ISLAMABAD(Daily P.Times) The electoral commission said Thursday it was open to investigations into election results and blamed a glitch in the transmission system for delay.“Free and fair elections were conducted across the country and no complaint of rigging was received,” Election Commission Secretary Baber Yaqoob told a media briefing in Islamabad. He said most of the complaints received pertained to the delay in election results, adding that authorities were looking into a technical glitch in the transmission system. “We have full confidence in the transparency of this election. Security provided by the military is plausible. The attitude of the troops on poll duty is also commendable.”
