Bannu: Some unidentified armed assailants on Sunday opened fire on a vehicle carrying Mutahida Majlis e Amal (MMA) candidate from NA 35, Akram Khan Durrani in Bannu, but he remained safe as his vehicle was Bombproof.
The rival of PTI Chairman Imran Khan from NA 35, Akram Khan Durrani was going to Issakhel in connection with the election campaign when unknown persons opened fire.
The firing left his vehicle partially damaged.
The attackers managed to fled from the scene.
Few days ago, Akram Khan Durrani came under bomb attack during a public meeting in Bannu resultantly killing 5 persons and injuring 35.
