CHITRAL: The District Returning Officer Chitral Muhammad Khan has rejected the nomination papers of former President Pervez Musharraf for National Assembly seat, NA-1 Chitral.
Returning Officer took this decision in light of the Peshawar High Court decision of 2013 whereby lifetime ban was imposed on Musharraf for contesting election or becoming a member of the parliament.
Nomination papers of Dr. Farooq Sattar of MQM on NA-245 Karachi were rejected by Returning Officer because he has been declared absconder in two cases related to hate speeches.
