LONDON: (PR) In a meeting held in London Kashmir Voice International (KVI) welcomed India and Pakistan DGMOS decision to fully implement 2003 ceasefire pact. Stopping cross border firing would bring great relief to the people living on both sides of LOC. KVI also welcomed the dialogue offer by the Indian Home Minister to the Hurriayt leaders and appreciated their response. There is no alternative to dialogue which is the most civilized way of resolving issues. Secretary KVI Javid Kakroo said during press release issued by him in London.
The inflexible attitude of the parties and their ego has only resulted into the continued loss of life in Kashmir. It is quite appropriate that the dialogue is unconditional from both sides with flexible approach. KVI urges New Delhi and Kashmir leadership to engage in a serious uninterruptible dialogue despite hitches and hurdles during engagement if any.
In view of the Ramzan cease fire in Kashmir KVI shall appreciate that all the guns silence even beyond Ramzan to allow peace process and negotiations at different levels to continue in order to find a solution acceptable to our people.
KVI expects the people of India and Pakistan to lend support and strength to all the initiatives aimed at exploring a just and durable solution reflecting the aspirations of Kashmiris. KVI wishes confidence building measures be initiated to uproot mistrust for the promotion of good neighborly relations between the two countries.
