Gujrat: Three University girls received severe burn injuries after they were subjected to an acid attack in Danga Area in Gujrat.
According to media reports the girls were standing at a bus stop when three assailants on motorcycle threw acid on them on Thursday morning.
The Girls were rushed to nearby hospital in critical condition for medical treatment.
After carrying out the assault two suspected fled the scene however, people at the scene managed to capture the third.
Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Mian Shehbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and has sought report from DPO Gujrat. The CM also ordered provision of proper medical treatment to the victims.
Two of the girls were said to be real sisters while the third a friend of theirs.
