LONDON: Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has arrived at London to attend the 25th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2018.
Pakistan High Commissioner to UK Ibne Abbas, and David Pearey, the special representative of the British Foreign Minister, received PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi upon his arrival in London.
The conference will continue upto Apirl 20. PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will represent Pakistan in the conference. He will participate in executive and retreat sessions of the conference. He is also scheduled to call on Queen Elizabeth II and Prince of Wales, and meet the British leadership as well.
The conference will provide opportunity to member countries to bolster mutual cooperation.
The conference will provide a chance for Pakistan to portray itself as emerging market besides promoting itself as the best destination for investment and trade.
Pakistan was among the founding members of commonwealth and at present the total members of this organization stand at 53.
