Rahim Yar Khan: A family in Rahim Yar Khan District was allegedly subjected to violence for refusing to hand over their two daughters as Vani during a jirga session on Sunday morning.
According to media reports the Jirga, decreed to handover two sisters of a man as Vani and fined a sum of Rs0.8 million.
The girl’s family paid the fine but refused to hand over their daughters.
Following the refusal, the family was attacked and their crops were set on fire, the family members said.
A case was registered against 34 people for setting the crops on fire, said the Police.
The Police Also said that they were conducting raids to arrest the suspects.
