“Urges global community to redouble its efforts to resolve K-dispute”

Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Tuesday called upon the Pakistan government to raise the issue of continued Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir at United Nations Security Council to put pressure on government of Indian to end widespread death and destruction in the valley.

Raja Farooq Haider emphasized on Pakistan government to withdraw the condition of resolving Kashmir issue through bilateral dialogue and raise the issue at United Nations, European Union and Organization of Islamic Cooperation. “India wants to maintain status quo on Kashmir and does not want this issue to be internationalized”, the PM said while Addressing a news conference in Muzaffarabad. He said that Friday will be observed as Kashmir Solidarity Day whereas an all parties conference would be convened on Saturday to convey a strong message to India whose hands were soaked with the blood of innocent Kashmiris. He strongly condemned the puppet administration in the Indian Occupied Kashmir that has banned media and all sources of information with the aim to hide its naked aggression. He said India was using all tactics to suppress the Kashmir liberation movement with mass killings of Kashmiris.

AJK Premier urged the international community to play its due role in seeking an early and amicable solution of the longstanding Kashmir dispute. He said India was involved in grave human rights violation in the Occupied Kashmir. He said New Delhi’s claim of being the biggest democratic country stands exposed as it is disgracing humanity in the occupied territory. The Prime Minister said the brutal crackdown and despicable use of pellet guns on civilians by the occupation forces was highly condemnable. “Indian attempts to label the legitimate Kashmir struggle as terrorism cannot deter the valiant people of Jammu and Kashmir from their demand of exercising their right to self determination in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions”, he said adding that Pakistan was highlighting the issue of Kashmir in an effective manner and shares firm attachment with the Kashmiri brethren. He said international community has a responsibility to play its due role to end the sufferings of the innocent Kashmiri people.

The AJK Prime Minister on the ocassion thanked the government of Pakistan for its unequivocal political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris who are struggling for their right to self determination. Raja Farooq Haider Khan urged media to expose the Indian brutalities. He paid rich tribute to the Kashmiri youth who are sacrificing their precious lives for the cause of Kashmir.

Meanwhile, AJK Premier paid a visit to the office of All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK chapter in Islamabad and reaffirmed AJK’s continued support to the people of occupied Kashmir in their struggle for the realization of their right to self-determination.

The premier paid tribute to Kashmiris for rendering unmatched sacrifices in this struggle against Indian occupation and strongly condemned and deplored the continued terrorism by India in the valley and noted that the unresolved Kashmir dispute continues to threaten the peace and security of the region. He emphasized that the conflict should be resolved in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people and the United Nations (UN) Security Council resolutions.

Earlier APHC convenor Ghulam Muhammad Saffi received the prime minister on his arrival.

Prime Minister remained in the APHC office for two hours.
