WASHINGTON D.C. : Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry has urged Pakistani diaspora to continue to play its role as a bridge between the two countries.
He was addressing an impressive flag hoisting ceremony at Embassy of Pakistan Washington D.C. in connection with Pakistan Day celebrations.
The Ambassador paid rich tribute to the founding fathers who resolved at Lahore on 23 March 1940 to establish a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Sub-Continent.
He said Pakistan is a resilient nation with a proud history and has tremendous potential to rise in future.
A group of officers from the US foreign service also witnessed the flag hoisting ceremony.
Meanwhile, flag hoisting ceremonies were also held at High Commissions of Pakistan in Ottawa and Canberra to commemorate Pakistan Day with zeal and zest.
