ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has expressed annoyance over encroachments and illegal commercial use of residential accommodations in federal capital and has sought report from chairman CDA.

A single bench of IHC presided over by Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui took up the case pertaining to encroachments in federal capital for hearing on Wednesday.

The learned judge remarked during the hearing of the case that in order to take encroachment mafia to logic end, contempt of court proceedings will be initiated against those who have failed to implement court orders.

The learned judge reprimanded the CDA officers and ordered “ encroachments are violation of law we will maintain writ of law at every cost. Eliminate the illegal possession in Faizabad and file report thereof. Later I will go there myself to see it.

The court ordered for opening all service roads and retrieving the possession of football ground from the lawyers in F-8 Katchery.

CDA told the court that football ground will soon be got freed from the lawyers.

The learned judge inquired why the residential accommodations are being used for private purposes.

The court while ordering the area magistrate to initiate action against the violators of court orders adjourned the hearing of the case indefinitely.
