Islamabad : National Security Advisor Lt. Gen.(R) Nasir Janjua has said that balance of power in the region is being deteriorated due to the strategic agreement between India and USA .
While speaking to a seminar at Bhria University on the topic of “ Naval economics, geo politics in Indian occasion and increasing threats for Pakistan” arranged by Institute of Strategic Studies of Islamabad(ISSI)on Thursday.
He said that said that the activities of India is on rise in Pacific Occasion after Indian occasion.
“If we compare the economies of USA and China , we would see that the budget deficit of China is less and ate of productivity is much higher”.
He said that now USA has 800 military bases in 70 countries. Some 368000 US troops are present in Indian an d Pacific occasions .America is gaining power in the Indian occasion and sea south to China due to which the situation is much favorable for India.
The national security advisor said that Daesh’s escalating influence in Afghanistan has become a potential threat. The problem in Afghanistan and Iran’s tension has made the state of affairs more perilous in Indian and Pacific occasions.
Admiral(Retd) Mukhtar Ahmed Khan said on the occasion that Indian occasion is the center of 37 percent of regional trade and 14 percent of international trade .
He said that the political and economic interests in Indian occasion can cause a conflict. The weak countries have become the slaves of developed nation by virtue of lack of technology.
The retired naval officer said that Pakistan had played an important role in multinational task force . He said that SAARC countries have not any role in Indian occasion owing to deficit of confidence among them.
