ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has rejected former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif plea seeking clubbing of three NAB references against him.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar took up for hearing in his chamber the petition seeking merging of 3 NAB references into one Wednesday.

Mian Nawaz Sharif had filled petition praying the court to merge three NAB references into one against him but it was returned by registrar office with raising objections.

Former PM again resorted to SC on December 02 against the objections raised by registrar office besides praying the court that in chamber hearing be conducted of his plea.

It was said in Nawaz Sharif appeal plea that it is binding on the court to hear the petition afresh on merit if the decision is challenged. There are stances that decisions were reviewed again in several cases. The court has also maintained that the technical points can not come on the way to dispensation of justice.

Earlier SC had rejected Nawaz Sharif chamber appeal. First chamber appeal was rejected for not raising the point on clubbing NAB references in Panama decision review case.
