Faisalabad: On the directions of Punjab government 2nd phase of health week is continuing in the district and total numbers of 6630 persons are registered in the first day on the 44 health camps at different THQ Hospitals, RHCs and BHUs for screening their health. Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani inaugurated the health camp at Govt. General Hospital Samnabad and took a round of the health desks to review the health screening process. Asif Saleemi and other doctors were present on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner directed the health department staff to perform their duties with high sense of responsibilities to achieve the desired results of these health camps. He also interacted the people and said that the Punjab govt. was following comprehensive policy of holding health camps for screening the health of the people which would help to diagnose the diseases and proper treatment would be given to the patients in case of detection of any disease like hepatitis, blood pressure, asthma, TB. He directed the health department officers to launch a vigorous awareness campaign for the information of the citizens about getting the health screening facilities. The Deputy Commissioner said that the proper counseling of the people should be made to guide them about their health caring. He urged upon regular monitoring of the health camps in the district and said that the daily report of the registered people be sent to him. CEO Health Dr. Zafar Abbas informed that 7 desks had been established at each health camp for the registration, medical checkup, laboratory tests, vaccinations and counseling of the people. He informed that health camps would be continued by 24 February and target has been fixed for the screening of the health of more than 38000 persons at health screening camps during the health week.
