Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Mohammad Farooq Haider Khan has said that day was not far when people of Indian occupied Kashmir will achieve their long cherished goal of freedom from Indian occupation.

“Kashmir Solidarity day is not only for the oppressed people of the occupied Jammu and Kashmir but for the oppressed masses of the whole world, whether they are in any region of the world, this day is to express solidarity with them”, AJK PM said this in a statement issued on the eve of Kashmir Solidarity day here on Sunday, Prime Minister thanked the people of Pakistan for their commitment of solidarity and their unflinching moral, diplomatic and political support for Kashmir cause.

Prime Minister reiterated that the people of Pakistan observing this day for the basic right of the people of the occupied Jammu and Kashmir, their right of self-determination.

“Indian armed forces have occupied the territory and their presence in the region is meant to deprive Kashmiris of their birth right guaranteed to them by international community”, he said adding people of Pakistan for the last 70 years supported Kashmiris’ right to self-determination as per the vision and policies of the founder father Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

“On July 19, 1947, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference passed a resolution in which they had decided that their future would be associated with Pakistan and they would use their right through opinion poll under democratic process.” Prime Minister maintained. He added that despite the passage of seventy years, India has been creating hurdles in the way of peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute just to deprive Kashmiris from their right.

“Kashmiris have been deprived of their basic rights and India through its secret intelligence agencies and in collaboration with puppet government in occupied Kashmir have made such notorious laws that give free license to Indian forces to kill or torture people who dare to raise their voice for freedom”, the Prime Minister added.

He said that the Indian military and paramilitary forces have wreaked havoc in the region where innocent Kashmiris were being killed; their eyes are being blinded by the use of pellet guns, while thousands of innocent people have been kidnapped and killed. “Even there are thousands of unnamed graves and thousands of Kashmiris subjected to enforced disappearances remain untraced till day and their heirs don’t know whether their beloved ones are alive or dead.”

Expressing solidarity with the people of IHK the Prime Minister expressed the hope that the day was not far when people of occupied Kashmir will get freedom from India.
