Hajeera: (Parliament Times) Traffic Police personnel deputed at every nook and cranny of Hajeera town have become a new agony for private commuters and particularly public transporters were being irked without any rhyme and reason by the traffic sergeants just to mint money by resorting to unfair means.

Talking to Daily Parliament Times Faheem Mehmood said, “On the other hand the traffic sergeants who remain busy in other activities pay little attention towards unmanaged, uncontrolled and unruly traffic on roads. No action is being taken against the street venders who have occupied main road by setting up their trolleys and carts in the middle of the road to sell their merchandise”.

“Street vendors set up their businesses in the middle of the roads, which is the major cause of traffic mess in the town”, he said adding that huge penalties are being inflicted on common men whereas no action is taken against influential persons. Mehmood who was fined by the traffic police said that he was on his way to Rawalpindi when a couple of sergeants of traffic police stopped his vehicle and was issued a Challan for a crime that he had not committed.
