Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said India has been brazenly violating United Nations resolutions on Kashmir over the past several decades.

“Kashmiris observes Indian republic day as black day today (Friday) to convey to the global community that India was not a true democratic country as it had denied the people of Kashmir their inalienable right to self-determination”, the AJK PM said this while talking to a Hurriyet delegation comprised of Manzoor Ahmed Shah, Mir Muntizir Gul, Riaz Qadri,Riaz ul Hasan ,Raees Ahmed who called on him here on Friday. The AJ&K Premier said,” New Delhi is committing grave human rights violations in the valley, but it will not succeed in suppressing the voice of unarmed Kashmiri people who are engaged in their just struggle for right to self-determination”.

He appealed to impartial jurists, defense counsels, human rights organisations and the United Nations to stop India from sending Kashmiris to the gallows for being Muslims. He termed the claim of Indian Republic Day celebrations in Kashmir as ridiculous as ever and said January 26 is for all purposes a black Day in Occupied Kashmir as the people have never accepted the Indian constitution, nor they will ever recognise it. “Kashmir will continue to fight for freedom and the right of self-determination according to the UN charter and its Security Council resolutions on referendum, “he concluded.

Farooq Haider said Pakistan is moving towards development, but some elements are attempting to derail the process. He said the people of AJK are well aware of this.
