Lahore: The President Pakistan Peoples Party (Kashmir Chapter) Ch. Latif Akbar on Thursday called on the former president of Pakistan and Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House in Lahore.

The duo discussed in detail the matters of mutual interest and the prevailing political and human rights situation in Indian held Kashmir. Speaking on the occasion the PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari hailed the Ch. Latif Akbar’s commitment and his contribution in strengthening the party at gross roots level. According to press release the PPP co-chairman expressed serious concern over the escalating tensions on the LoC and unabated human rights violations committed by Indian occupation forces in IoK demanding international community to take effective cognizance of the deteriorating situation in the region. Zardari also reiterated his party’s full support to Kashmir cause.

Ch. Latif Akbar the president of Party’s Kashmir chapter on the occasion briefed Mr. Zardari and took him into confidence about the party affairs in AJK.
