Islamabad : Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Dr. Qibla Ayaz has termed democracy is the best system for development and political stability in current era.
Addressing a seminar titled “Pakistan Election Laws and Legal History of Amendments”, he said that undemocratic and unconstitutional measures causes political and economic instability and cohas.
“Council of Islamic Ideology will address society and also initiate lobbing with the Parliamentarians to ensure reflection of its recommendations in the process of law-making”, he added.
He appreciated the Parliament and its committees for referring the bills on transgender, child marriage and attempt of suicide of psychological patients for vetting in Islamic perspective.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq of the Department of Law and Shariah, International Islamic University, Islamabad said that presidential and parliamentary systems were introduced and run in the country and a number of experiences were tried for the betterment of the situation in the country.
