Kotli: (Parliament Times) The President Tehreek-e-Insaf (Kashmir Chapter) Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chudhary during his visit to southern district of Kotli on Sunday called on senior politician and former AJK premier Sardar Sikander Hayat Khan.

During the one-on-one meeting that is said to have lasted for one and a half hour, the two leaders discussed in detail the matters of mutual interest and prevailing political and human rights situation in Indian held Kashmir. “The duo agreed upon taking effective measures to promote Kashmir cause at international level besides synergizing efforts to improve quality of life of common people in the region”, says a statement issued by the party (PTI). They also agreed to establish and maintain liaison on matters of key national interests. PTI president according to statement also thanked the former premier for generously praising Imran Khan.

Barrister Chudhary’s meeting with estranged PML-N leader and former prime minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Sikendar Hayat Khan is bound to trigger further controversies and rift between the party ranks of Pakistan Muslim League-N led by Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan. The meeting has further strengthened the public impression regarding internal disorder and disarray in the PML-N cadres. Recently Sikander Hayat Khan had voiced his serious reservations and mistrust over the party leadership, however the AJK PM who is also president of the party termed the estranged leader’s remarks as a game of conspirators. In politics changing loyalties is a routine matter however only time will tell to what extent this meeting will be instrumental in bringing the two rivals closer to each other. Nonetheless the development could not be simply ignored as coming events are said to cast their shadow before.
