Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rawalpindi, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry has expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements made for Christmas.
Flanked by Deputy Commissioner, Talat Mehmood Gondal, RPO Fakhar Sultan Wisal Raja and CPO Israr Abbasi during visits of Churches including Faith Church Ministry Christian Fellowship, Holy Family Church, Mariyam Catholics Nazimabad, Nawaz Sharif Park and others places here Saturday, he instructed to further beef up security arrangements to ensure foolproof security of Christian community on the eve of Christmas.Commissioner Rawalpindi also reviewed cleanness arrangements, encroachments and other arrangements in connection with Christmas celebrations. He also instructed to divert CCTV towards main gates of Churches and park to keep a vigilance eye on movement of visitors. He said Christians are also respectable for us and enjoy all rights likewise other Pakistanis. He said it was responsibility of the state to ensure security of life and property of Christian community.
Nadeem Chaudhry urged the need to deploy extra contingent of police in parks as Christian community used to visit parks on Christmas. He said role of Ulema could not be ruled out regarding dissemination of peace and inter-faith harmony. He said Islam is the religion of peace, love and harmony and there was need to spread the message of Islam. He instructed all Assistant Commissioners to visit churches and supervise security and other arrangements.
