ISLAMABAD: A National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team tasked with collecting evidence of properties belonging to the Sharif family on Tuesday returned from London.
Sources said a two-member NAB team arrived at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport via PIA flight. The sources said the NAB team has failed to make any headway during their visit.
The NAB has filed corruption references against Nawaz Sharif, his sons, daughter and son-in-law under the Supreme Court orders in Panama Papers case.
The Supreme Court in it July 28 verdict had disqualified Sharif from holding public office and ordered the NAB to file references against him.
Sharif’s close aide and country’s finance minister Ishaq Dar is also facing trial following the court orders.
