“PM stresses for timely completion of projects”

Muzaffarbad: (Parliament Times) Azad Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet Development Committee during an extraordinary meeting here on Tuesday approved 24 development Projects costing over 5.248 billion rupees.

The 4th meeting of the approving forum of AKCDC for the financial year 2017-18 was held on December 13, 2017 under the chairmanship of the honorable Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider Khan at Muzaffarabad, which was attended by the Cabinet Members, Chief Secretary (Dev.), representatives of Federal Government, Secretaries of the respective line departments and officers of the P&DD, Government of AJK.

During the meeting 24 projects costing over Rs. 5.248 billion appertaining to Industries / AJK-TEVTA, physical planning and housing, communication and works and Tourism / Archeology sectors were considered. The significant projects that were brought under discussion include paradigm shift in training and Assessment from conventional to Internationally Accepted competency Based Training and Assessment (CBT&A), Up-graduation and Reconditioning of Bhimber to Gujarat Road in District Bhimber, Improvement and Reconditioning of Kotli-Gulpur-kerote Road, Gulpur-Narr-Plak road, Kotli to Khuiratta Road in District Kotli, Mirpur Plak-Dhangalli Road, MIrpur to Bhimber Road from Jarrikus to Jattlan in District MIrpur, Construction and Metalling of Road Ziarat Barthan Wali-Badhal Sharif-Jhanawala-Hashmi MOr,Tonghairi-Chirikot-Abbaspur Road, Kahutta to Kharsheddabad Road and construction of Baily Bridge Bhedi Narryan Subhai in District Haveli, Improvement and metalling and Black Topping of Noseri to Authmaqam Road in District Neelum, Improvement and Re-Conditioning of Kahori-Patikka to Dewlian Road, Hans Choki Dana to Chattar Klass Road, Muzaffarabad to Noseri Road in District Muzaffarabad Improvement and Re-Conditioning of Chikar to sudhan Galli Road, Neli to Lamnian road in District Jhelum Valley and Establishment of Publicity Network for Tourists in Azad Kashmir.

While addressing the meeting the Prime Minister directed the concerned authorities to complete the all projects well in time without compromising on quality of the work. He said government is committed to perform quality and accurately. He said our government had done in one and half year what all government has done in one and half year what all government of the past had not done in their tenures.

Meanwhile, the Chief Justice, Azad Jammu and Kashmir High Court (Chairman Selection Board), recommended to supersede the appointment of Assistant Librarian (B-16) Mohammad Tanzeem Abbasi as Librarian B-18 as considering him not eligible and suitable for seniority. While the chairman of the selection board has approved the appointment of Syed Faiz-ul-Hussnain Gillani as eligible for Librarian B-18 and appointed him as Librarian with effect from 31-03-17.
