Islamabad: After Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, Speaker of National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has also expressed extreme annoyance over absence of ministers from lower house of the Parliament.
During NA session on held here on Friday, Speaker NA while expelling officials of interior ministry when they failed to reply the questions during question hour denied to proceed the session.
“Now session will be proceeded by Deputy Speaker National Assembly,” said Speaker NA.
Speaker NA before expulsion directed Joint Secretary and Section Officer of Interior ministry to bring Secretary Interior along with them as the ministry did not submit answers of many questions asked in the agenda.
NA meeting started with the delay of 15 minutes and just 20 Members of National Assembly (MNAs) were present which annoyed Speaker.
“If the situation remained continue then Prime Minister would be written that ministers does not attend the session while on the other hand answers of questions were also not given during question hour,” said Ayaz Sadiq.
Snubbing Interior Ministry, NA speaker warned that non serious attitude of the ministry would not be tolerated at any cost.
“Why this much expense has been incurred and what is the benefit of convening session if answers not given so whole expense incurred today will be borne by secretary interior, “ Speaker scolded.
State minister for Interior, Talal Chaudhry informed the house that none could dare to stage sit-in in Capital again as they would have to face more than tear gas and strict action would be taken against those who would try to invade Islamabad.
“Much fun has been tolerated, no one will be given soft corner now and stringent action would be taken against sit-in protesters now,” mentioned Talal during his speech in national assembly.
It is pertinent to mention that Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani had also denied to proceed upper house session over lack of interest and absence of ministers few months back.
On the other hand, completion of quorum has become a headache for ruling party despite having 2/3 majority and government have to face difficulty in passing important legislation.
Opposition demanded to make minister accountable for correction of system.
