Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) Deputy Commissioner Tallat Mehmood Gondal has directed all government departments to submit their advertisement against vacant positions by December 11, 2017 so that these positions may filled out blind persons as a practical step to equalize their issues.

Chairing a meeting of committee for redressal of issues of PWDs, here Wednesday at Deputy Commissioner office, he said these are not disable persons but are differently able persons who are blessed with many other qualities, adding that they don’t need our sympathies rather we all should play our part to give them chance to explore and polish their abilities and make best use of them.

He said that Punjab government has allocated quota of 03 percent in government jobs which is aimed to include them in the mainstream of life so that this physical imparity won’t be able to make them a burden for others.
Director Social Welfare Muhammad Aslam Maitla, Chief Executive Officer Education QaziZahoor-ul-Haq, Deputy Director Social Welfare Nabeela Malik, Focal Person Blind Persons Nabeeel Satti, Dr. Fazia District Officer Special education and focal persons of other concerned officers attended the meeting.

While briefing the meeting about the current status of salary issues of daily wagers cadre wise vacancy position, Director Social Welfare Muhammad Aslam Maitla at this occasion said that following the directives of CM Punjab, these disable persons are being facilitated in every possible way. He said along-with the hiring, these special persons must also be appointed as well as transferred to their nearby station as per their convenience. He said that appointed persons are given training so that they become capable to compete with their talents.
