Lahore : Federal Minister for Railway Khawaja Saad Rafiq said that former President and Co-Chairperson of PPP is the major hurdle in delimitation of new constituencies.

Talking to media in Lahore, Khawaja Saad Rafiq said that PPP is not looking its role in center in next general polls and advised its leadership to focus on rural areas of Sindh.
“Next general elections would be held in time in the country but it is necessary the delimitation of constituencies as per population census”, he added.

He said that PML-N cannot make any constitutional amendment as it does not enjoy the majority in the Senate.

The Minister said that PML-N wants that upcoming general elections be hold in time but some elements wants to create hurdles in the democratic process which would never be succeeded in their designs.

He slammed PTI’s Chairman Imran Khan and said that opponents should not think about the dissolution of assembly for before the time general elections and expressed his resolve that elections would be held in time.

Talking about the judiciary, he said that PML-N had launched the country-wide movement for the supremacy and freedom of judiciary object to create such judiciary who make decisions without any pressure and influence.

He said that we did not get transparent trial in the court verdict of Panama papers case which raised many questions in democratic circles adding that Hudabia Papers case had been closed and its reopening has also raised question.

Commenting on the current political situation of the Karachi, he said that PML-N did not play any role in prevailing conflict between MQM and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP).
