Sargodha: University of Sargodha (UoS) has established an e-Rozgaar centre to enable the educated youth to earn through online jobs and businesses under the Chief Minister scheme. The centre will commence its working from next week. The government of Punjab (G0P) has issued two million grant including hundred laptops, furniture, manpower and all other essential gears for the students of Sargodha division. The students who completed 16 years of education are eligible for the free registration. The university has nominated in-charge Business department Hammad Hassan Mirza as a focal person for the centre. He told that under this program university will provide three months opportunity to make an online business with more chances for employment. He further added that entrepreneurship and self-business opportunities through freelancing will help the youth a great deal to explore more profitable avenues and contribute to the national economic development,” he said. He said that e-Rozgaar centre (UoS) will provide 24 hour services to facilitate the students. Mirza further added e-Rozgaar plan is a revolutionary step that will enable students to get immediate online employment opportunities which help to eradicate the unemployment issue.
He told that e-Rozgaar program is an initiative of (GoP) in collaboration with Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Ministry of Sports, Archaeology and Tourism.
He expressed that job training program will enable the youth to get online income opportunities in the field of technical, non-technical and creative worldwide. It is pertinent to mention here that (GoP) has decided to set up similar centres in 36 districts of the province where as many as 10,000 graduates would be given three months training at the e-Rozgaar centre in the first phase and the training would help them explore career opportunities by applying their internet freelancing skills.
