Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief, Yasin Malik said that he won’t be cowed down by the notice issued by the Enforcement Directorate and ready to spend life in Tihar Jail than to surrender before New Delhi’s fresh ploys aimed at making Kashmir’s pro-freedom leadership bow.

Addressing a press conference here, Yasin Malik clarified that he hasn’t received any notice from the ED yet. “Freedom lovers don’t surrender and they don’t succumb to pressure,” he said.

While talking about the case related to Foreign Exchange Management Act, he said, “The case dates back to March 2001 and its trial are already going on in POTA court in Jammu.

He said that when the trial of the case was already going on in a Jammu court, he wondered as to what was the fun of issuing notice to him.

He said that a drama was orchestrated and he was arrested from Srinagar and immediately shifted to Jammu. He added that he was tortured and put behind the bars under black law POTA.

JKLF chairman said that a case is being heard in a court from the last 16 years and it is yet to be concluded. However, a parallel case is being initiated from Delhi, in the same case which is in itself a mockery of justice and legal system.
