Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Federal Secretary General Youth Parliament, Mr. Ubaid has said that Youth Parliament completed the phase of cabinet announcement. Till today more than 100-youth leaders have been announced as the Designated Cabinet members of Youth Parliament from Azad Kashmir and Islamabad chapter.
During an interview Ubaid said, “In November all new cabinet member will take Oath as the responsible citizen of Pakistan. Honorable Parliamentarians from National Assembly, Senate and AJK Legislative Assembly will attend the ceremony as the Guest of Honor. He said; our dress code eliminate the cultural differences it give clear message that there is no cultural discrimination, no one is Sindhi, Balouchi, Pakhtoon or Kashmiri we all are Pakistani. He also added Membership is open till 1st November. He said registration for Oath Ceremony will be started
from 1st November to 5th November. Only 100 Designated Member will be entertained, while
at the question of Chief Guest he said he will announce soon but till then its
surprise for the member of Youth Parliament. In the Oath Ceremony, effort of
young member will be appreciated through Award distribution. Member Kashmir
Council and Patron of Youth Parliament Mir Younas reaches Islamabad
today from Muscat.
Ubaid says; Mir Younas is an energetic leader of Kashmir,
he always works for the humanity and promote youth. He distributed their pay to
orphan children from the day one joining as the Member Kashmir Council. He said
this Oath ceremony will be remembered throughout the life of member of Youth
Parliament. Oath day is their appreciation day.
Meanwhile, Federal Secretary General Youth Parliament, Ubaid Qureshi said; our all designated and general members are educated, mostly from Engineering, Law, sciences and Diplomatic field. He said their chapter president is a young advocate of the High Court, Divisional President of Islamabad and Muzaffarabad related to the engineering field. He said it is wrong that, youth NGOS always promote boys, we believe on gender balance and follow the merit. it’s true that boys are more social than girls but it doesn’t mean youth organization only for boys. In Youth Parliament Islamabad Cabinet, 80% cabinet members are female. 1st time a female student of Diplomatic studies Bakhtawar Khan promoted to Secretary General. Ubaid said she is not on my personal recommendation, it’s their interest, dedication and work which make them able and a girl Farah, she is a multi – talented girl, she is a student, boxer and activist, she is part of the Youth Parliament cabinet from last two years, and these all are the pride of young generation and youth Parliament. Youth Parliament is a platform for educated peoples for social and non-political activities. In recent days, we are working with the International Community of Red Cross on the project “Right the way to Ambulance” on roads and in educational institutions. Youth Parliament announced it three Divisional Cabinets including Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, and Kotli. Centeral and Ponch Divisional cabinet is under process. Our two mega event about local body’s election “Jadeed Islamabad” and “Jadeed Muzaffarabad” expected in December. Youth Parliament will endorse their effort of their members in Oath Taking Ceremony.
