LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed petition seeking accountability of all those named in Panama leaks.

The petition has been rejected being non maintainable.

The petitioner Syed Muhammad Ilyas had taken the plea in his petition that over 300 persons have been named in Panama Leaks but only Sharif family is being held accountable and the remaining 259 persons are not being held accountable. The chairman NAB has also been appointed against the law.

He pleaded that holding only Sharif family accountable and ignoring others is sheer violation of law and constitution. The others who are included in Panama leaks be also held accountable.

President , speaker national assembly, chief election commissioner and others were made respondents in the petition.

He requested the court to order for placing the names of remaining 259 persons in ECL besides initiating action against them.

Justice Shahid Karim of LHC had reserved judgment on the maintainability of the petition; The court has rejected the petition declaring it non maintainable.
