Islamabad: (PR) Chief Executive Officer IESCO Mr. Basit Zaman Ahmed has chaired monthly performance review meeting of Metering & Testing and Surveillance Directorate in IESCO Head office.
Manager (M&T) briefed that during the month of Sep-2017 they got 28,45,044 units from slow and defective meters which is a great achievement. Manager Surveillance told that his team checked 917 meters during Sep 2017 out of which 122 meters found slow/defective. On account of slowness/defective meters 8,01,674 units have been charge to consumers. Overall units charged by M & T and surveillance directorates are 36, 64,718 and same units have been charged to consumers.
IESCO chief appreciates the efforts of both Directorates and said that power theft is a National crime and involved people are not well-wishers of the country. He said that IESCO will continue its efforts against electricity theft. In meeting CEO has also briefed that during Sep-2017, 80 damaged transformers repaired in IESCO transformer reclamation workshop Wah and same has been returned to concerned sub division. In the end Chief executive IESCO gave targets for the month of June-2017.
