Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The president of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan has said that Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir and the Kashmir has no persona sans Pakistan.
This was stated by President Azad Jammu & Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan, in an interactive session with the faculty and students at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion the president said, “Kashmiris have been unceasingly enduring the atrocities of Indian forces since 1947. Their only aspiration is to unite with Pakistan and the youth of Pakistan must not harbor any doubts about it. What they rather need is to give their utmost to making Pakistan stronger in these epoch-making times, as the longstanding issue of Kashmir will be much easier to resolve with a politically, strategically and economically stable Pakistanâ€.
The President further said that India continues to violate the humanitarian laws in Kashmir with full impunity. It has always attempted at demonizing the freedom movement and depriving the people of Occupied Kashmir of their right to self-determination.
Denouncing the malicious propaganda about Kashmir cause and Pakistan, he said, “It is a strategy used by India to malign Kashmir and Pakistan before the worldâ€. He said that hundreds of thousands of unarmed protesters take to streets of Occupied Kashmir to demand freedom, despite unlawful restrictions imposed by the Indian forces. He said that the decades-old humanitarian crisis in Kashmir has exacerbated over the years with houses demolished; women molested; and young and old brutally wounded or beaten to death. He asserted that there was a dire need to project the correct narrative about Kashmir before the world against the unbridled Indian propaganda.
Earlier, Lt Gen Naweed Zaman, HI (M), (Retd), Rector NUST, welcomed the esteemed guest to NUST. Sharing his thoughts on the Kashmir issue, he said that the idea of a Kashmir, free of Indian occupation, resonates ceaselessly in the collective consciousness of Pakistanis. Our deep attachment to this idea has been forged historically by the unshakeable moral commitment of our Founding Fathers toward Kashmir.
The Rector maintained Pakistan’s national narrative on Kashmir is based on solidarity, goodwill, deep pain at the sufferings of Kashmiris in the Indian-Occupied Kashmir, demands for immediate end to the brutalization of Kashmiris at the hands of Indian forces and an earnest desire for peace in the region.
