Karachi: Pakistan’s trade deficit with increase of 33 per cent has soared to 6.30 billion dollars during last two months.
An increase of 11.8 percent in country’s exports has been noted during months of July and August while country’s exports have reached the level of 3.50 billion dollars during the corresponding period of two months.
According to statistical department, country imports with increase of 25 percent were recorded 9.80 billion dollars during these two months.
Meanwhile, in the first two months of fiscal year (2017-18), trade deficit with an increase of 33 per cent has been recorded as 6.30 billion dollars.
Business analysts said that government is making all out efforts to deliver on its pledge of elimination of load shedding therefore imports of power generation related machinery is continuing due to which imports bill is increasing consistently.
