ISLAMABAD: PPP senator Rehman Malik has said a peaceful Afghanistan was Pakistan desire but US has made Afghanistan a war zone.
Former interior minister said this while talking to the media men outside parliament house here Monday.
He held that US had failed in the policies evolved by it. US have made Afghanistan a war zone while Pakistan’s desire was a peaceful Pakistan.
He went on to say Pakistan has rendered sacrifices more than any other country in war on terror. US which is alleging Pakistan of providing safe havens to terrorists has not succeeded in eliminating a few terrorists in Afghanistan even after spending billion of dollars.
He underlined that still 60 percent area of Afghanistan is under the occupation of Taliban. This speaks volume for failure of US in Afghanistan.
He remarked Indian Prime Minister Modi is trying to bedevil Pakistan-US relations by creating misperceptions. Both countries will have to give serious consideration to it, he urged.
