Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, a spontaneous shutdown is being observed in Aripanthan village of Beerwah area of Budgam district to mourn the brutal killing of four youth in firing by Indian troops forces on this day, last year.

All shops and other commercial establishments are closed while public transport is off the roads in the area.

Muhammad Ashraf Wani, a businessman; Manzoor Ahmad Lone, a farmer; Javid Ahmad Najar, a carpenter and Javid Ahmad Sheikh, a hairdresser were shot dead by troops on August 16 as a people’s agitation was going on in Kashmir following the July 8 killing of Burhan Wani.
