Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that concerted efforts were being made to convert the liberated territory [AJK] into a prosperous, self-sufficient and self-reliant State.

Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan made these remarks while talking to members of different delegations who called on him here on Thursday. He said that practical steps were being taken for the rapid development of the AJK. He said Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is taking keen interest in the development of liberated area.

“The provision of better health and educational facilities to masses is the top priority of PML-N government”, Raja Farooq Haider said adding that his party believes in fast track development of Azad Kashmir and was keen to develop the State on modern lines.

He said Indian forces were badly involved in human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir to silent the voices of youth who were on roads for their freedom from Indian subjugation. He said Indian government was committing crimes against innocent civilians by using pallet guns and other weapons.

He reiterated government’s commitment to continue diplomatic, political and moral support to Kashmiris in Occupied Kashmir. He said Kashmiris highlighted the Kashmir freedom movement with their blood. “The martyrdom of Burhan Wani infused a new spirit in the Kashmir movement”, he added.
