Sargodha: A syndicate meeting was presided over by Vice Chancellor here at University of Sargodha. The meeting approved the annual budget of Rs.4.3 billion. Vice Chancellor Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad gave a comprehensive briefing to members of the syndicate. All the participants of the meeting highly appreciated and commended the financial position of University of Sargodha.
The syndicate meeting also approved the appointments for University College of Engineering & Technology and Pharmacy. The syndicates also approved the shifting and merge of departments of Punjabi and Persian with Urdu Department under the new title Department of Urdu and Oriental Languages. While the department of Arabic merged with Islamic Studies Department under the new title department of Arabic and Islamic Studies.
On this occasion Member Provincial Assembly Dr. Nadia Aziz, Member Provincial Assembly Muhammad Waris Kallo, Member Provincial Assembly Ghaznfar Abbas Cheena, Additional Secretary Higher Education Department Sheikh Tanveer Jabar, the representative of HEC Islamabad Mehmood Ul Hassan Butt, Divisional Director Local Fund and Audt Muhammad Shafiq, CEO District Educational Authority Muhammad Azhar Khan, the representative of BISE Sargodha Sarfraz Gujjar, Principal Govt Post Graudate College Mianwali Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Niazi, Dean Faculty of Science Dr. Nazra Sultana, Principal UCET Dr. Ghulam Yaseen Chohan, Principal Sargodha Medical College Dr. Humaira Akram were also present.
