Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Monday directed the administration to pay compensation amount to the victims of Indian firing along the Line of Control (LoC) immediately.
Addressing a high level meeting regarding the present situation on the LoC, the Prime Minister directed that medical treatment should be extended to all those people who suffered Indian aggression.â€First hand medical services must be provided to the injured persons by Indian shelling and firing along the LoC without any delay, no negligence would be tolerated in this regard,” the Prime Minister said. He asked the health department to ensure the availability of the medicines in medical centres near the LoC and medical officers and administrative officers must be on the duty and physically available to the victims of Indian firing. The Prime Minister said that government was well aware of the difficulties of the victims and would not leave them alone.
Meanwhile a delegation of T.V journalists association consist of association’s president Arif Urfi and chairman Imtiaz Awan called on Prime Minister and discussed with him the investment opportunities in AJK. The Prime Minister told the journalists that government was going to setup an invest board in AJK soon to boost the tourism in AJK. He said government would provide all possible facilities to the investors and government relevant departments would fully assist them. He said under the CPEC two industrial zones would be setup in AJK and through theses zones huge employment opportunities for unemployed youth would be created. He declared the AJK, the best place for investment as there was no law and order situation. The Prime Minister also paid a visit to the Central Bar, AJK Bar Council and Central Bar and observed the losses occurred due to heavy rains in the capital. During his visit the Prime Minister assured the lawyers community that government would compensate all the losses occurred during the rains.
He said the previous government did not try to resolve the issues unfortunately. He asked the deputy commissioner to submit a report after estimating the loss with consultation of the representatives of the Bar Council. After the assurances by the Prime Minister, the lawyers associations called off their strikes and announced they would present in the courts.
AJ&K Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has condemned the blast occurred in Lahore on Monday and expressed deep grief over the loss of lives. In a statement the Prime Minister has paid tribute to the martyrs and expressed sympathies for the victims.
